How the pressure of the stainless steel tube is calculated:

1. Calculation formula: 2* wall thickness * (tensile strength *40%)/outside diameter.

2. 316, 316 l, TP316, TP316L -- tensile strength: 485MA.

3. 321, 304, 304L -- tensile strength: 520MA.

The tensile strength of 304 stainless steel tube is 520MPA.

The tensile strength of 316 stainless steel tube is 485MPA.

The water pressure that the stainless steel tube can bear is different from the material that can withstand the pressure value.Outer diameter and wall thickness is also very important factors, the wall thickness is thicker, can withstand the pressure value, the greater the same diameter, for example, 10 thick stainless steel tube is thicker than the five stainless steel tube can withstand the pressure is much higher;In addition, it is related to the outer diameter. The larger the outer diameter, the smaller the pressure value can be. For example, the larger the wall thickness, the smaller the pressure value can be.

Calculation formula of pressure of stainless steel tube:

Hydraulic pressure test: P=2SR/D.

S refers to wall thickness, r refers to 40% of tensile strength, D refers to outer diameter;

Here is an example:

Specification of stainless steel pipe 304:159*3.

P = 3/159 * 520 * 0.4 * 2 = 7.84 MPA

Specification of stainless steel pipe :159*3.

P = 3/159 * 485 * 0.4 * 2 = 7.32 MPA
